Jigsaw

In director Fletcher Markle's gritty film noir, a woman (Jean Wallace) trapped in the maze of a murderous scheme gets bumped off before she can implicate a fascist hate group that's carrying out violence against religious and ethnic minorities. Not to worry: Crusading Assistant District Attorney Howard Malloy (Franchot Tone) is on the case. Henry Fonda, Marlene Dietrich, John Garfield and Burgess Meredith pepper the film in unbilled cameos.
