American mercenary Rick Masters (Jack Palance) lives a life of carefree debauchery in Hong Kong until oppressed peasants from a nearby island hire him to help them defeat cruel crime lord Patrai (Fernando Lamas), who wants to claim valuable cargo that washed up on their shores. The volatile loot -- a shipload of nitroglycerin -- is worth a cool million, and Rick enlists two karate experts and a tour guide (Aldo Ray) for the explosive fight.
