From within a cement pipe in a closed construction site to inside the after-hours security hallway of an old air field, videographer David Jr elegantly dissolves the boundaries of the typical recording venue to showcase some of the most intimate lyrical moments of songwriter and rock and roll icon Kimberly Freeman's career in her own South Austin, Texas neighborhood. Acoustic, unplugged and even a cappella at times, this is raw, emotional melody and complete artistic honesty at it's core. Kimberly's well-known lyrical simplicity is mirrored by the minimalist natural camera angles and no-frills capture of a visionary rogue director. The viewer joins the two, sneaking into secret chambers at 4am, kneeling with Kimberly as she sings her stories in places unallowed. Crickets, buzzing neon lights, water drops and other sounds of the city replace microphones, stages and the usual crowds in these rare acoustic untouched and previously unheard sessions.
