After Michael has qualified to drive in an auto race, someone is trying to kill him. Elena Thomas and her father Mac are watching his daughter's creation -- the Thomas Flyer. Every cent of his money is tied up in the race car. Suddenly the prototype explodes when a man named Lurani pulls the trigger of his weapon. Bonnie, Elena's long time college friend, begs Devon for Michael's help. Mac and Elena's work seems to have been cursed, sabotaged being the obvious explanation. Michael steps in and after challenging the track record, he lands himself the driver's job for Mac. Lurani is again hired by Wayne Altfield to kill Michael. Wayne has known Mac for a long time, but the truth he is trying to hide could devastate all of Elena's and Mac's dreams.
