Lake Placid

As bodies pile up and cattle go missing around a Maine lake, Jack Wells (Bill Pullman) is forced to team up with office-dwelling Kelly Scott (Bridget Fonda) to investigate the mystery, and friction eventually gives way to friendship as the two pursue the beast. The local sheriff (Brendan Gleeson) wants the creature dead, but mythology expert Hector Cyr (Oliver Platt) hopes to capture and study it in director Steve Miner's campy monster movie.
