Firefighters are called to put out a fire in a burning brownstone, and among the debris uncover a pregnant woman?s body, Jenna Ludlow. Detectives Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) and Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) are called to the scene and question the victim?s affluent fianc?, PJ Bartlett (guest star Matthew Davis).
