An NYPD officer troubled over mounting financial difficulties is killed by fellow police officers after taking hostages at gunpoint. As detectives Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Bernard (Anthony Anderson) look into the incident, they discover valuable stolen documents hidden in the officer s apartment, along with a dead body. The search leads the detectives to John Jay McIntyre (Guest Star Christopher McDonald) who is trying to establish that he is the illegitimate son of a famous President and is searching for the proof. A.D.A's Michael Cutter (Linus Roache) and Connie Rubirosa (Alana de la Garza) confront Jay's mother Lois (Guest Star Rue McClanahan) to find out if there is any truth to his claim. With a robbery and two murders to solve, the detectives aren t sure if they are searching for a single killer or multiple killers as they try to unravel the facts of the cases. Also stars S.
