Living in the Valley -- This is a trailer for a feature length documentary about Chalford Valley in the heart of the Cotswolds through one year
This part of the valley has a reputation of being a sleepy haven with a history of alternative living. Whole food hippies from the 70s, pedal powered eco-warriors and organic idealists work together to keep the shop open.
The village shop is under threat and becomes a focal point for the eclectic villagers who run the shop on ideology rather than commerce.
This is also the year that 75-year-old flame haired Iris is moving out after a life time in Chalford. Each morning the valley echoes with Iris whistling as she delivers papers, walks dogs, cleans houses and wends her way up the High Street.
Norman, 91, arrived when he was 5 months old and continues his bachelor life living under the watchful eye of Rosie his neighbour. Norman is a relative of John Alden, a Pilgrim on the Mayflower.
15-year-old Pyrha has an Immelda Marcos collection of shoes following a chance encounter with a skip full of size 4s.
Daphne Neville, landowning gentry, performs tricks with her Otters for school children and Royalty.
Mark and Johnny, identical twins, are building a wooden cabin around four living trees.
Bill, Caroline and family are producing their own food on a patch nestled between the canal and the railway.
And much much more,,,
