Love and Lies is a TV film noir inspired by the true exploits of detective Kim Paris. Mare Winningham stars as the no-nonsense Houston private investigator, Kim Paris, with a penchant for disguise. She is hired to gather evidence on David West (Peter Gallagher), who is implicated in a double homicide. Assuming a false identity, she gets close to West, hoping that a little romance will force him to convict himself. The trouble comes when Paris falls in love with the suspect.
