Anita (Goldie Hawn) is a vivacious and independent woman with a care-free attitude. While traveling through Italy, a friend introduces her to Guido (Giancarlo Giannini), a handsome but troublesome Italian with a flirtatious nature. Guido innocently enough agrees to give Anita a ride to work... and one ride turns into a long, unpredictable adventure. Their Roman romance takes a zany turn when she learns that he's not what he seems to be.
