After returning to his hometown of New Orleans, Lionel (Campbell Scott) befriends lawyer W. Firmin Carter. Lionel and Carter party over the tracks of the upper crusts to the wasteland of Bourbon street bars, beginning downward spiral into the underbelly of the Big Easy. But when Carter turns up missing, Lionel becomes the prime suspect.
