Macbeth

Jon Finch stars as the Thane of Cawdor -- and Francesca Annis matches him step for conniving step as the scheming Lady Macbeth -- in director Roman Polanski's evocative 1971 adaptation of one of literature's greatest dramas. Filmed in northwestern Wales, Polanski's bleak interpretation of the Shakespearean tragedy is well known for its strong performances, gory violence as well as Annis's nude sleepwalking scene.
