While suffering through a heat wave and the death of their air conditioner, Paul and Jamie take to the streets, only to find the situation there is even worse. While scanning her college catalog in search of a major, Jamie convinces Paul to leave town for the weekend to dine at a seaside restaurant where they once ate some wonderful clams. However, while borrowing her car, Jamie is upset to learn that Fran has been hired to fill her old job.
