During an after sex conversation, Jamie concludes that Paul doesn't like her new haircut or her meatloaf, while he is convinced that she thinks he is getting fat and that she hated their trip to Aruba. As a result, Jamie takes out her frustration on Ira during a meeting to discuss her latest promotion for his store. And things are no better for Paul, who begins to doubt the honesty of his editor, Sid. However, when Ira complains about Jamie's short temper, Paul covers by blaming it on Fran. As the Buchmans struggle to agree on what to do for dinner, Fran learns that her latest project has been completely changed by the client. Making matters worse, Ira claims that Jamie is mad at her. Wanting to know why, Fran calls Jamie. But, when she catches them in the middle of an unsuccessful attempt to have sex, Jamie hangs up, reinforcing Fran's belief that something is wrong.
