The Buchmans have been given an all expenses paid vacation by Paul's parents with just one catch -- they must pretend to be Burt and Sylvia in order to go. At their tropical resort, Paul and Jamie discover that they'll have to keep up appearances when the social director informs them that she's planned out an itinerary perfectly suited to Sylvia and Burt. As a result, they end up taking the vacation Paul's parents have only dreamed about. It's when Jamie decides to try out her French on their waiter that she gets carried away and claims that she and Paul are from France. Though Paul isn't so sure about the idea, he has no choice but to play along when Jamie tells another guest that they are circus performers. Although it's fun pretending to be everybody from a rodeo clown to the inventor of instant soup to a professional bowler, Paul and Jamie begin having a hard time keeping their stories straight.
