Upon finding that the newsstand where they first met has burned down, Paul and Jamie realize they've been transported back in time. Agreeing to meet up in an hour, Paul sets off for the address on his driver's license and finds that he's living with Ira. Meanwhile, Jamie discovers that she's a partner in her own P.R. firm with an overweight and neurotic Fran as her assistant. And when she expresses a good deal of surprise at his arrival, Jamie's old boyfriend Alan decides she must be seeing someone else and breaks up with her on the spot.
