The kids try to figure out how to rescue Blakbeetle before her neo ex-medal is placed in Gryphon, Kams ultimate kilobot. Dr. Maizu hacks into Extreme Techs computer system and deletes all of Gryphons design data but he is too late; Gryphon is on-line and ready for the final test. Nae pleads with Eddie to stop the test and is stunned to discover Kams secret. His mother died when he was very young and his father has ignored him ever since. Nae is convinced Kam needs the love of Blakbeetle to unharden his heart. Zuru tries to destroy Blakbeetles medal during a botched rescue attempt. In her final medafight, Blakbeetle easily defeats Metabee. She thanks him for showing her the true spirit of robattle and goes off with Kam. Ikki and the others vow to make one, final rescue attempt, no matter how dangerous.
