Kam inserts Blakbeetles medal into the newest Kilobot design Gryphon The strain proves to much for Blakbeetle and she malfunctions. Undaunted, Kam tells Blakbeetle that she will become Gryphon. Forced to choose between Kam and her own sanity, she runs away. Kam tracks her and send out his minions to capture and bring her back. Their plans are thwarted when Ikki and friends find and rescue her. Kam eventually tracks her down and just as the two sides are about to engage, Blakbeetle gives herself up to Kam., reasoning that a life without a master is worse than the risk of insanity from the input of Gryphon.
