Memed My Hawk

Following a lifetime of hardship and systematic abuse under the rule of the tyrannical Abdi Aga (Peter Ustinov), headstrong peasant Memed (Simon Dutton) joins a band of mountain bandits determined to bring down the corrupt governor. When his girlfriend, Hatche (Leonie Mellinger), is unjustly charged with murder, Memed risks everything to rescue her from Aga's clutches. Ustinov also directs this dramatic adventure, based on a novel by Yasar Kemal.
