When Sarah complains to Kevin that they never spend any time with her friends, he decides to throw her a birthday party, invite all her friends and kill two birds with one stone. Kevin knows that if Jamie comes the party will be a disaster, so he persuades Brenda to ask Jamie out on a date to keep him away. Kevin finds Sarah's Rolodex and uses it in making out the invitation list. Jamie is overjoyed that he and Brenda are going out, but is sure he'll be missed at the party. When she arrives at the party, Sarah is horrified to see that Kevin has invited all the people she wants out of her life (the Rolodex Kevin found was one that Sarah had thrown away after taking out the numbers she wanted to keep.) Jamie completely misinterprets Brenda's motives for the date and is sure she wants to sleep with him; Brenda wastes no time in setting him straight.
