Takashi Shimizu, director of 2004's The Grudge, returns for this sequel, which is set in Tokyo. A young woman (Amber Tamblyn) is exposed to the same mysterious and deadly curse that afflicted her sister (Sarah Michelle Gellar) in the first film.
