Pretty Village, Pretty Flame

Childhood friends from the 1980s, Halil (Nikola Pejakovic), a Muslim, and Milan (Dragan Bjelogrlic), a Serb, must fight on opposing sides of the war in Bosnia in 1992 as violence between the Serbs and the Muslims escalates. As the soldiers find themselves trapped and waiting to die, all they can do is meditate on their existence. This film provides a provocative and haunting portrait of a war-torn region.
