Dylan and Eric are still in the very early stages of dating, which is tumultuous enough without the added complication of a certain houseguest: Dylan's mother. Lisa is thrilled and terrified when she is invited to sing at a gig in Las Vegas with John's band. Danny, Andy, and Vanessa decide to tag along and shoot a mini-documentary about the experience. Lisa is forced to confront her fears and find a way to overcome her self-destructiveness. Meanwhile, Dylan tries to forge a more meaningful connection with her mother as Eric tries to help, but only makes matters worse.
