A Los Angeles neighborhood becomes the battleground for a grassroots Latino house painter and a well-organized black political insider who campaign for a vacant city council seat. With the votes slit along racial lines, dirty politics rears its ugly head as the serious debate becomes clouded by sex, violence and mud slinging. As politics turns into entertainment, this movie ultimately delivers a funny but more substantial message than you’ll get from real-world politics.
