Bounty hunter Reno Raines battles a vicious killer named Goliath in an illegal gladiator event. Recognizing his foe as his missing brother, Mitch (MARTIN KOVE), Reno reminds him of specific childhood memories. As they grapple, Mitch gradually reacts to Reno's recollections, weakening his bloodthirsty intent. The event's producers, Col. Nelson Bracket (CHARLES NAPIER), Jackie Rosetti (LARRY MANETTI) and Dallas Shields (MITCHELL RYAN), decide to save their best fighters for a deadlier match and declare the brothers' bout a draw.
