While trying to apprehend weapons dealer Ty Waitley (TREVOR GODDARD), Cheyenne is seriously hurt because Reno is late coming to her aid. Bobby blames Reno, who quits Sixkiller Enterprises. As the two former friends struggle with their painful feelings, Bobby tries to assemble a new crew to track down the men who assaulted Cheyenne. Reno retreats to the mountains. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Dutch Dixon (recurring guest star STEPHEN J. CANNELL) hears about Cheyenne's accident and comes for an unwelcome visit. By giving her painkillers, Dixon extracts Reno'swhereabouts from Cheyenne. As Bobby prepares to rendezvous with Waitley, Reno sets out to save him from a deadly setup, unaware that Dixon is on his trail.
