At night i n a metropolitan train station, renegade cop and bounty hunter Reno Raines (LORENZO LAMAS) trails a ruthless fugitive, John Poe (DON SWAYZE), wanted for manslaughter. Poe escapes, murders a bystander and drives away in the dead man's car. The only witness is Kim McClain (YVONNE SUHOR), a terrified young woman who quickly runs away. Reno locates Kim i n a nearby diner and gains her trust . She explains that she was waiting for a train to return home to the rural community of Oak Valley. Knowing that Poe may return to murder the only witness to his crime, Reno stays with Kim at the station while she waits for the morning train to Oak Valley.
