Sun-Hee decides that she can't marry Jang Won until Gun-Hee is happy! She and her other sisters come up with a plan to get them back together so the marriage can proceed as planned.
Gun-Hee is resigned to the fact that she and Kang-Jae will never be together because of their families history. When another company stops buying Sinjung's kimchi, Kang-Jae offers a partnership between Sinjung and Sangcharim.
When Kang-Jae breaks up with her, Gun-Hee turns in her notice at work, deciding to go work for Sinjung. Because of her mother's illness, the taste of Sinjung's kimchi has changed to try and get the kimchi back to its original taste.
Kang-Jae and Gun-Hee rush to the hospital after Gun-Hee's mother collapses. Concerned for her mother, Gun-Hee skips work to take care of her for the rest of the day. The two begin to repair their relationship a little, as Gun-Hee begins to listen to her.
Kang-Jae is shocked to learn that his father is responsible for the death of Gun-Hee's father. Even though it's his birthday, he's in no mood to celebrate, leaving Gun-Hee to wonder why he's in such a bad mood. Meanwhile, Sun-Hee proposes to Jang Won.
After both Kang-Hae and Soo Ho argue over her, Gun-Hee must now choose between the two of them. Both men are impatient for the answer, and Kang-Jae treats Gun-Hee rudely the next day, thinking that she's chosen Soo ho.
The house is thrown into chaos when Sun-Hee suddenly leaves home. While she is gone, she calls Jang Won for help and he tells her to be a little selfish and start speaking up for herself more.
After Kang-Jae comes down with a cold, Gun-Hee cares for him until he's better. They start getting along better, and both work hard towards making Sagcharim's kimchi better than Sinjung's kimchi.
Gun-Hee wakes up in the hotel, only to find Kang-Jae lying right beside her, naked! She kicks him out of the room before he can dress, and he has to call his father's manager to come bring him a change of clothes.
After finding out that Soo Ho is engaged to someone else, Kang-Jae comforts Gun-Hee, but she quickly grows suspicious of his kindness!
Gun-Hee and Kang-Jae continue to try and expand into the kimchi market, and hire two new employees to help them. Gun-Hee tries to recruit her old college friend, Soo Ho, to help, but he surprises her by turning the position down.
Gun-Hee is shocked when her mother tells her sisters and her that the first one to marry with inherit Sinjung Kimchi! But one of them must marry within six months or else the company will be sold to the shareholders.
When Gun-Hee and Kang-Jae find out that the kimchi division in their company is about to be shut down, they do everything they can to try and stop it!
Gun-Hee is appalled that her sisters have voted to allow Kang-Jae move into the boarding house! When she gets home she finds out that he's only moving in to try and merge her mother's company with his fathers.
Kang-Jae accepts that in order to stay in South Korea, that means that Gun-Hee is going to be his boss. With their positions reversed, Gun-Hee gets her chance for revenge for all the things that Kang-Jae made her do as his subordinate.
Gun-Hee works at a company where her boss, Kang-Jae, is a total sexist! He tells her that men lie when they say they want a smart woman, that all they want is beauty, and that women will never be overworked since they demanded to be able to work.
