At the hospital, Brady and Nicole worry about Chloe, who’s still in a coma. Nicole gets a mysterious call and has to leave. Brady checks in on Chloe, and Lexie tells him she swore she heard Chloe say something. Chloe has a dream about her attacker and remembers seeing Gus’ face. Her heart rate skyrockets and she starts to convulse. Lexie has her sedated. Brady gets an idea and brings opera music to Chloe’s room to soothe her. He makes an emotional plea for Chloe to wake up. Bo and Hope return to the crime scene of Chloe’s attack. They show Roman the sketch they got from Mandy. Though it’s vague, they feel like the person looks familiar. Gus shows up and hides as the cops continue looking for evidence. He’s almost caught, but steals away with a police radio. Hope finds the strands of Quinn’s hair that Gus planted. Roman orders a DNA test. Gus is pleased when he hears about this on the police radio. He also hears Roman saying it would be helpful if they could find the attacker’s weapon. Gus doesn’t think that’s such a bad idea… Earlier, Quinn runs into Gus at the Cheatin’ Heart and confronts him about ditching him and Vivian. Angry Gus storms out. Taylor moves in and tells Quinn their kiss never should have happened. Nicole enters and asks about Taylor’s “friend.” Nicole pushes Taylor until she admits she and Quinn once dated in Europe. Nicole gleefully reveals she already knew this – and much more. Taylor is nervous. Nicole finally reveals she spoke to Taylor’s arresting officer – he confirmed that Taylor, along with Quinn, was arrested at a human rights demonstration. Believing the story to be true, Nicole leaves. Taylor asks Quinn how that happened – he reveals he had talked to the officer and got her record changed. Taylor, still wary, asks why he would do that for her. He reiterates that he cares about her and then pulls her into a kiss. At Chez Rouge, Kate finds EJ working on his mystery plan to bring the DiMera name some legitimacy. She insists he find a wife to improve his image. He balks at another marriage of convenience – he would rather marry for love. Kate says maybe that can come later like it did for her and Stefano. She leaves, giving EJ something to think about. He gets a mysterious message and asks the waiter to bring champagne and two glasses. Later, an unsuspecting Nicole walks in and finds EJ waiting for her (EJ has been tracking her).
