So much, in fact, that Riff Raff opens a cat restaurant in the junkyard selling only Mungo's food. Dorothy is homesick for Kansas, but doesn't know how to get there. She decides to travel to Emerald City in seek of answers from the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and is given the Wicked Witch's magic slippers for protection. Along the way she meets a friendly scarecrow, who decides to join her.
Dorothy and Lion plot to destroy the Witch and finally succeed when they discover her secret weakness - water. The Winkies, freed from their slavery to the witch, help Dorothy and Lion search for Scarecrow and Tin Man.
Back in Oz, Mombi has agreed to let Dorothy stay with her in an attempt to steal the magic she thinks Dorothy possesses. Tip warns Dorothy that they need to run away because Mombi plans to turn them to stone.
Dorothy and her friends finally arrive at the Emerald City, but the Wizard refuses to see them. With a little persistence they finally get through to the throne room, where they discover that the Wizard isn't everything they thought he was.
Heathcliff hears Iggy saying how wonderful it is to have a pet, and decides he should have a pet too. He tries out Spike and Mungo, but they do not make good pets at all. He frees a live lobster from the fish store which makes a great pet until the lobster begs to go home to the ocean and Heathcliff generously complies. / Wordsworth is convinced he has a rare cat disease which Riff Raff read about in the paper, so the gang take him to a cat witchdoctor who tells them the only cure is an alligator hair. The cats risk their lives in a swamp before returning to tell the doc that alligators don't have hair. No matter, Wordsworth seems better.
