Shelter

Three inner-city teens band together to form a surrogate family in this moving drama. Sixteen-year-old Ray (Ray Santiago) takes care of his bedridden mother while his hustler brother (John Rafael Peralta) brings in the money. When their mother dies, Ray looks for comfort from his drug-addicted, pregnant neighbor (Marilyn Soto Santiago). Fleeing the city, the three end up in a deserted beach house -- where they struggle to create a peaceful home.
