Hank is assigned his first episode. Karen gets ready to throw in the towel.
Hank's first day in the Santa Monica Cop writer's room brings aggravation from his new co-workers. Things start looking up for Charlie and Marcy when he meets Melanie, showrunner Rick Rath's new assistant. Plus, Karen gets an unexpected surprise. And so does Hank, during a visit to Levon's apartment.
After his short-lived tour with Atticus, Hank is eager to reunite with the love of his life, but things with Karen don't go quite as planned. Charlie's performance anxiety leaves Marcy wondering what she's gotten herself back into. And Levon, a young reporter, looks to interview Hank for his college paper. Season premiere.
Season 6 finale. Hank makes a big decision about his future, which affects Faith. Charlie and Marcy also make a decision. The troops are rallied to ensure Atticus makes it to the Greek Theatre for his co-headlining gig with Marilyn Manson (HIMSELF). A call from Becca and a visit from a dearly departed friend set Hank in motion.
Hank and Faith join forces to track down Atticus, but Becca is the only person who can really help. Marcy's outing with Ophelia leaves her a little tied up and Charlie's response to a curious message reveals the true feelings between the two exes. Karen has an epiphany about Becca.
Hank seeks comfort from Faith, only to find her with someone else. Hank meets two very important people in Faith's life. On the home front, Becca has some big news.
Atticus throws a party. Faith provides the girls, The Dealer provides the recreation and Hank's old friend provides the entertainment. Hank gets a taste of his own medicine with Karen. Atticus tries to recreate rock and roll folklore with one of his biggest fans while Charlie reunites with The Widow.
The reviews are in for the first draft of "A Crazy Little Thing Called Love: The Musical." Hank looks for inspiration from Faith to help get him to the next level. Becca contemplates alternate careers. Charlie and Stu join forces to win back Marcy, but first, they'll have to pry her from the man-hating clutches of Ophelia Robbins.
Hank returns from his trip to find Becca spiraling, but his plan to help her backfires when they go to visit Atticus and meet his current house guest (guest star MARILYN MANSON as himself). Hank has an encounter that puts him in a very awkward position with Karen. Charlie takes Stuart out for the day and has an encounter of his own.
Karen asks Hank to intervene with Becca. Later, the boys board Air Force 69 with Atticus Fetch to fly to NYC to present the songs for the Broadway adaptation of "A Crazy Little Thing Called Love." Charlie faces a serious case of aerophobia. Atticus is surprised by Faith, while his wife surprises Hank.
Ken discovers Charlie's secret. Atticus sends Hank and Charlie on a hunt, so they enlist the help of Hank's daughter Becca. Marcy makes a decision about Stu that is influenced by her man-hating spiritual guide, Ophelia Robbins.
Hank and Charlie meet with Robbie Mac, but the project on the table is a little out of Hank's wheelhouse. Later, Hank reconnects with "God Hates Us All" executive, Ali Andrews. Marcy, Ophelia and Karen commiserate over dinner. Becca demonstrates that she inherited the best parts of her father during a reading of her latest work.
Hank and Faith attend a funeral. Later, Karen finds Hank in a compromising position. Robbie Mac and Ken take Charlie out on the town, which doesn't sit well with Marcy.
Hank reluctantly heeds the advice from his family and friends, but Faith, muse to many-a-rock-star, may be his light at the end of the tunnel. Charlie runs into out-and-proud movie star Robbie Mac and finds himself taking drastic action in order to land the award winner as a client. Marcy loses her resolve with Stu, while Karen lands a new job.
Season 6 premiere. Hank Moody may have survived a murder-suicide attempt by his lovelorn ex, Carrie, but she's still haunting his dreams. Charlie takes his best friend and star client to meet rocker Atticus Fetch about giving "A Crazy Little Thing Called Love" the Broadway treatment. A revelation about Becca prompts a tailspin that causes Charlie, Karen and Marcy to take action with Hank.

This season, noted actress Maggie Grace (Lost) has signed on for nine episodes as the infamous rock groupie Faith, who develops an unconventional relationship with Hank.

The sixth season of CALIFORNICATION returns with David Duchovny in his Golden Globe-winning role as hedonistic novelist Hank Moody. Moody continually struggles to be a good father to his college-aged daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin), while still carrying a torch for her mother, and his ex-girlfriend, Karen (Natascha McElhone). This season, noted actress Maggie Grace (Lost) has signed on for nine episodes as the infamous rock groupie Faith, who develops an unconventional relationship with Hank. She is joined in two episodes by her former Lost co-star Jorge Garcia as an old contact from Faith's past. International comedy star Tim Minchin takes on the role of Atticus Fetch, a mad-as-a-hatter rock star who will write the music for the Broadway production of Hank's hit novel. Fetch enlists the ever-cynical Hank to collaborate on the project, which he calls "...a rock opera about love conquering all." Notorious rocker Marilyn Manson will also make a guest appearance. CALIFORNICATION is created and executive produced by Tom Kapinos and executive produced by Duchovny.
