Ken’s terrified Peter will drink himself to death. Tracy advises against informing the prison for fear of angering the other inmates. Ken faces an impossible dilemma.
In Wales, Deirdre is underwhelmed by the primitive surroundings of the caravan park while Ken relishes making use of the local farm’s amenities.
Yasmeen, Roy, Leanne, Kal, Alya and David gather round Nick, shocked. Roy wants to call an ambulance but making out he’s had a few similar attacks and they’re brought on by stress, Nick exits. Leanne and Kal feel terrible.
In the corner shop Nick makes snide digs at Leanne about her lack of career. Leanne retorts that it’s about as successful as his love life. Nick smarts. When Nick struggles to disable the bistro alarm, Kal comes to his rescue.
In his cell, Peter’s clearly suffering with alcohol withdrawal. Jim promises that he’ll find him some alcohol in return for some biscuits. Michael pulls up in his ice cream van to collect Gail.
Neil tells Andrea that he’s got a year’s contract working in the Philippines and he’d like her to go with him. Andrea tells him again that it’s over between them but Neil refuses to listen.
Having spent the night with Lloyd, Andrea tries to make peace with Jenna and suggests they could be friends. But Jenna’s hostile and when Lloyd suggests Andrea should move in, Jenna storms out, furious.
Under pressure, Peter’s cellmate reveals that there is an inmate known as the Landlord who illegally sells alcohol to the prisoners. Andrea approaches Lloyd by the canal and tells him that she’s left Neil for good and been sleeping on a friend’s sofa.
In his cell, Peter gazes at a photo of Simon, desperate to see his son. Scared of going to visit his Dad in prison, Simon feigns illness and Leanne’s worried about him. Peter phones Ken and begs him to bring Simon in to see him.
Carla breaks the news to Ken about Peter’s affair with Tina, her own pregnancy, Tina’s death and how Peter’s now in prison on a murder charge. Ken’s shell-shocked.
As Deirdre, Tracy and Rob prepare the house for Ken’s home-coming, Deirdre’s nervous, dreading having to break the news about Peter’s imprisonment. Peter’s cell mate presents him with a picture that his son drew for him.
David’s at his wit’s end as he explains to Gail and Audrey how badly behaved Max was on holiday and how he thinks Max is out of control.
Roy and Yasmeen spend the night protesting in the library. Yasmeen tries to get some sleep whilst Roy peruses the books. Sharif’s disapproving when he sees Yasmeen described as an Activist on the front of the Gazette.
Gail enters the salon in a state of high dudgeon and tells Audrey how she suspects Nick of vandalising Michael’s ice cream van.
As Nick and Michael eyeball each other, Steph arrives and telling Nick he’s needed in the bistro, drags him away.
At breakfast, Faye’s clearly preoccupied and Anna’s worried about her. Michael draws up in a filthy old ice cream van.
