Although housekeeper Martina Ingersoll says she knows nothing about the murder of her employer, Kitty Carmichael, a recording of her panicked 911 call proves otherwise. And it also casts doubt on her claim that the victim's husband, Dr. Douglas Carmichael, was away fishing in the Bahamas. While pursuing a car leaving the Carmichael murder scene, Chris is involved in an accident that kills a teenage driver. Though he's suspended pending the outcome of an investigation, Chris heads to the Carmichael estate anyway. Once there, he explodes upon seeing the car driven by Carmichael's son Jason -- one exactly like the one he was chasing when the accident occurred.
