After car dealer J. Henderson Moss is found drowned, an autopsy shows that he was dead before being put into the water. When a search of his condo turns up some recent photographs of Moss with the wealthy Cluck Westfall, Rita goes to the Westfall estate where she spots Moss' watch on a poolside table. After discovering that Cluck's fiend Ray Brinkman is an ex-con with a long record, Chris and Rita get a warrant to search Westfall's boat, Sex on the Beach.
