The Sliders arrive on Hollywood Boulevard, and while walking along, come across a wallet on the sidewalk. Everyone seems wary of approaching it, but when Quinn (Jerry O Connell) reaches for it, a woman, Taryn Miller (Perrey Reeves), fires a dart at him, but misses. The Sliders run, evading Taryn. At a bar, they discover that in this world, crime is almost nonexistent, due to a game show that has replaced lawyers and courts to determine criminals fates. Taryn shows up, saying Quinn can t keep evading the law. A fight erupts, to the delight of the crowd. Taryn arrests Quinn and takes him to the studios, turning him over to The Show s sleazy producer, Phil (Fredric Lane). Despite Quinn s protests of innocence, Phil puts him on-stage as the other Sliders arrive. Arturo (John Rhys-Davies) is picked to be Quinn s advocate, or lawyer, as the trial starts.
