The Sliders emerge from the vortex in a subway tunnel, with a train bearing down on them. They rush toward the platform, but Rembrandt (Cleavant Derricks) trips, and just as the train is about to crush the group, it stops, victim to the city s planned brownouts. While exploring this world, a beautiful woman, Monique (Mari Morrow), mistakes Rembrandt for his double, and flies him to Los Angeles for lunch agreeing to return him in time to make the slide out. Later, the remaining three are chased by a group of motorcycles, and soon are trapped. One motorcyclist, Logan St. Clair (Zoe McLellan), knows they are sliders, and recognizes Arturo (John Rhys-Davies), whom she thought was dead.
