An alien ship is spotted heading toward Earth, and from its unique energy signature, SG-1 determines that it is related to the pod found in Montana the year prior: Marty the alien's pod (episode Point of No Return). They estimate that the ship will reach Earth in three days and set out to find Marty and see what he knows about it. When they do, they find that he has become a Creative Consultant for a brand new Sci-Fi television series called Wormhole X-Treme. The series was created from a script that Marty wrote and the story line bears and eerie resemblence to the Stargate program. General Hammond's not overly concerned, believing that such a show will give SGC plausible deniability in the event of a real leak in the future. O'Neill is sent to find Marty on the Wormhole X-Treme set as the show's Air Force Technical Advisor.
