Summer City

Mel Gibson makes his feature-film debut as a carefree beach boy in this dark Australian drama. Set in the 1950s, the film centers on four Sydney surfer dudes who, closing in on adulthood, hit the road for a wild adventure. The guys hang ten on some great waves and head to a rock 'n' roll hop in hopes of meeting some girls. But the fun abruptly ends when the boys become involved in a murder. John Jarratt, Steve Bisley and Phillip Avalon co-star.
