Eighteen castaways will compete on SURVIVOR: PHILIPPINES when the award-winning series returns. Three of the 18 castaways are former players who were medically evacuated from the game and are returning to finish what they started; fifteen are new. Surrounded by water, there will be prominently feature marine-based challenges. For the first time in eight years, castaways will be divided into three tribes named after animals in the region: Kalabaw (Water Buffalo), Tandang (Rooster) and Matsing (Monkey). All will be competing for the same ultimate goal: to be Sole Survivor.
