Left motherless at age 5 and now living with his unapproachable alcoholic father (Michael Moriarty), 17-year-old Morris (Matt Czuchry) still manages to maintain a passion for life. He gets support from his sister (Kelly Rutherford), his comically immature best friend (Ben Savage) and his girlfriend (Jennifer Steede). But when he's faced with the biggest challenge of his life, Morris and his father must learn to reach out to each another.
