Emma Lloyd (Uma Thurman) is a radio host who gives people advice everyday on love. One day Sofia (Justina Machado) calls in about her fiance Patrick (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Emma advices her to break it off. Patrick, who hears the whole thing on the radio, wants revenge so he changes the person she is supposed to marry, Richard (Colin Firth), in the computer to himself. Emma finds Patrick to try and fix this blunder and she ends up liking and possibly falling for him.
