The Delegate

The only film ever made about a Convention Delegate. A 21 year old female Cathy Swajian is THE DELEGATE. The film is an Rorschach ink blot test of the viewers emotions. This film is a must see for women's groups and young voters. The film has been described as pro-American or anti-American. The film is highly recommended for women's studies , politics and the Presidental process in the U.S. As Cathy Swajian Abernathy, Cathy is now a top Washington lobbyist. When the film was released it was groundbreaking for its use of jump cuts (pre-dating MTV type shots) and a stream-of-conscious narration from Cathy herself. Soundman Mark Berger went on to win (4) Academy Awards. Rare film footage includes strong appearances by Gov. Ronald Reagan, Pat Nixon, Spiro Agnew, Lenore Romney (Mitt Romney's mother). There are also appearances by Grace Thorpe (Jim Thorpe's daughter) , NORML and the demonstrators. Singer Jane Pickens sings her campaign song. Ronald Reagan flubbs his lines. Producer/Director
