The Gay Desperado

Pablo Braganza (Leo Carrillo) is a Mexican bandito who's had no luck plying his trade … until he picks up some gangster techniques from Hollywood! Braganza tests his new skills by kidnapping an opera star (Nino Martini); then -- in hopes of receiving a large ransom -- he and his buddies move on to snatch a feisty heiress (Ida Lupino). Veteran director Rouben Mamoulian (Cleopatra) won a New York Film Critics Circle award for the film.
