A journey through the rings of Saturn causes mysterious changes in astronaut Steve West (Alex Rebar). Upon returning to Earth, his entire body begins to melt. Driven to insanity by his condition, he goes on a murderous rampage for human flesh to restore his own. Meanwhile, NASA's Dr. Ted Nelson (Burr DeBenning) tracks West, following a trail of sloughed-off body parts. Makeup maestro Rick Baker provided the gooey effects.
