The Kidnapping (Original title: El sekuestro) a farce taking place in Rio Hondo, a fictitious South American republic known only to a few, is set in the seventies. Bruno (Tobias Meinike, Germany) a germanesque arrives to ignite the spark of a Revolution. Through advertising in the local newspaper he's able to find three volunteers for the cause. The ransom, always according to Bruno, will be used to start the rebel army to overthrow the government. The volunteers are: Carmen (Sandra Ballesteros), an ex-masseur, romantic; Luis (Luis Fern ndez), a fine boy from Rio Hondo in search for adventures and justice and Mario (Adam Black), an unemployed mechanic. The four will conform the United Front For The Liberation of Rio Hondo UFLRH, a rebel army bound for triumph and glory. Unfortunately and to begin by kidnapping the wrong guy: Renato Cefalu (Lazaro Perez).
