The Left Hand of God

Jim Carmody, an American pilot has just escaped a communist prison camp, wearing the robes of Father O'Shea, who was murdered in the camp. He stumbles upon a church and since he has been assumed to be the priest, the cynical military man must act like one, and not let the facade slip. He finds himself falling in love with the mission's nurse, Anne Scott. Any advances on her would be unpriestly, but he is very drawn to her. Then when General Yang marches on the village, searching for Carmody, he finds himself in a battle of wits, strength and spirit in order to keep the village safe.
