The Missionary

Richard Loncraine directs this offbeat British comedy about a missionary (Michael Palin), the Rev. Charles Fortescue, who makes it his personal calling to save the souls of ladies of the night -- a venture financed by the eccentric Lady Ames (Maggie Smith). Soon, the pastor's flock is teeming with prostitutes who have some very unconventional ideas about the path to salvation.
