The Navy Way

Five years before donning a cape for Columbia Pictures' Batman and Robin serial, Robert Lowery stepped into the uniform of a Navy recruit for this World War II-era comedy about a tough guy who has problems with authority. Johnny Jersey (Lowery) isn't big on boot camp, which pulled him away from a career as a professional boxer. But active duty starts looking better when he spies a good-looking WAVE (Jean Parker) on the horizon.
