On a country estate, newly orphaned siblings Miles (Christopher Ellis) and Flora (Verna Harvey) spy on an affair between their dodgy gardener (Marlon Brando) and prim nurse (Stephanie Beacham). When the children start imitating the adults, the housekeeper (Thora Hird) catches on and tries to fire the gardener and the nurse, sending the kids into a panic. This psychological drama is based on Henry James's The Turn of the Screw.
